All Things Kids (Georgetown)

All Things Kids (Georgetown)

Kudos to All Things Kids in Georgetown for many, many reasons.  This store could just as easily be renamed “The Thinking Child’s Store” where every toy for sale has been carefully selected for the explicit purpose of stimulating a young mind.  Five years ago when I started taking my daughter out and about, I said [...]

Jumpstreet Indoor Trampoline Park (Cedar Park)

Jumpstreet Indoor Trampoline Park (Cedar Park)

Update: Angela in the comments (see below) said that kids under 7, with someone 12 years and up who has paid admission, may enter the otherwise restricted areas.  Had I known this, I would have happily paid admission to let my kids play everywhere, but I still would love it if there were an hour [...]

Ready Set Roll exhibit at Austin Children’s Museum

Ready Set Roll exhibit at Austin Children’s Museum

I probably had as much fun as my kids if not more at the Austin Children’s Museum with the current exhibit “Ready Set Roll” that began late January and will run through September.   Rolling a golf ball through a series of loops and on tracks is just a blast.  It’s classical mechanics at its [...]

Pinballz Arcade (north Austin)

With all of this rain, we needed to find something to keep the kiddo entertained (as if two birthday parties in one day wasn’t enough!) but the hubs had his fill of excited children for the day so the usual indoor playscapes weren’t going to work. We found a great compromise in Pinballz Arcade.

Train in Lakeline Mall

Train in Lakeline Mall

Right before Thanksgiving, hubby took the kids to the mall where I think the original plan was to go to Inflatable Wonderland, but they ended up riding the trackless train. One ticket is $5, and three tickets is $10. It works itself out to buy 2 get 1 free, or more like pay for two [...]

Gatti-land (Round Rock)

Gatti-land (Round Rock)

Since it’s Monday where “Moms Eat Free” with paid child at Gatti-land, it’s good timing for this review.  It’s been a least a couple of  years since we’ve been to Gatti-land, and the place hasn’t changed except for some different video games.  Admission pays for the buffet and drinks with some discount if you choose [...]

Wazoo’s (South Austin)

Wazoo’s (South Austin)

Wazoo’s is another of Austin’s many indoor inflatable bounce house places, and we just discovered it this weekend.  It is near Southpark Meadows, tucked away in an industrial warehouse off of Cullen, near Slaughter and IH-35.  If we weren’t specifically going out of our way to find Wazoo’s, I’m not sure that we would have [...]

The Carousel at Lakeline Mall

The Carousel at Lakeline Mall

After seeing the carousel at Lakeline, I buckled and let the kids on for a ride.  I have a little bit of a paranoia with indoor playgrounds because in my mind, if the hot Texas sun isn’t baking it to UV-faded colors, then my kids will undoubtedly come home with some kind of stomach bug. [...]

The Big Bounce (Cedar Park)

The Big Bounce (Cedar Park)

We have been anticipating the opening of The Big Bounce for months, as it seemed that the place announced a soon-to-open date last fall.  Finally The Big Bounce in Cedar Park has softly opened its doors with a grand opening to happen sometime in early summer, from what I understand.  We’re always on the look [...]

Jumpy Gym (South Austin)

Jumpy Gym (South Austin)

We recently took the kids on a late Saturday afternoon to Jumpy Gym, I think one of the few remaining indoor inflatable places that we have not yet tried in the Austin metro.  I did a quick scan of the website, saw that they had a play area besides just the jumpy things, and that’s [...]
