I Choo Choo Choose You
I have a confession to make. I miss the excitement that was Valentine’s Day in elementary school. I secretly love to receive pun-y cards professing friendship and love. I love little heart shaped chocolates and despite my insistence now that I don’t really care about Valentine’s Day… I really do!
So as my public service to others who may be closet Valentine’s fan as well (and in case my hubby is reading this), I will give you a little hint of where you can get a great Valentine’s gift that doesn’t require going to the mall (this applies to shopping for the gentlemen, children, friends and teachers in our lives too). Go to HEB. You can make an awesome basket by just shopping the aisles and if you go to an HEB Plus store, their electronics rival an electronic big box.
Check out a basket pulled together at HEB. Consider this a shopping list for those of you struggling with the red and pink:
- Visa Gift Card (cash wrap)
- Perfume (health and beauty)
- Box of chocolates (candy aisle or seasonal aisle)
- Stuffed animal (toy aisle or seasonal aisle)
- Heart shaped compact mirror (health and beauty)
Other ideas that can be found in the store: DVDs, CDs, wine, flowers, bath and body products, candy candy candy candy, a Valentine’s card that says it all, a gourmet cheese platter (the cheese department can hook you up!), pre-made dinner for two.
