Austin Sushi Restaurant How Do You Roll? To Support Demand Healthy Week
How Do You Roll? and ACTIVE Life Team Up to Make Healthy the Norm for Austin’s Youth

AUSTIN, TX – How Do You Roll?, a maki sushi bar, is proud to announce that it is donating 50,000 free kid’s meal cards to support ACTIVE Life’s Demand Healthy Week initiative during the first week of May (May 2-8). The donated kid’s meal cards will be distributed to every elementary school in Austin Independent School District and will be valid for the duration of Demand
Healthy Week.

“We’re happy to support ACTIVE Life and its Demand Healthy Week Initiative,” says How Do You Roll? CEO, Yuen Yung. “Our mission is to make the world better one stomach at a time, and we want to demonstrate our commitment to America’s youth.”

From May 2 – 8 children who receive a free kid’s meal card will be able to visit any How Do You Roll? restaurant, and with the purchase of any item from the menu, be able to redeem their free kid’s meal. In its second year of operation, How Do You Roll? currently has 3 locations in the greater Austin area. A San Antonio location opening this Friday, April 22, and another opening in Houston this Spring are part of agreements to expand to 65 locations nationally within the next eight years.

“Changing our culture to foster healthy living requires shifting consumer demand for healthy foods, products and services,” says Baker Harrell, founder and CEO of ACTIVE Life. “We are excited to work hand-in-hand with How Do You Roll? in our shared mission to make healthy the norm for America’s children.”

Demand Healthy Week is a national initiative designed to bring attention to healthy living and to promote healthy, active lifestyles. Participants sign up for free at ACTIVE Life’s Demand Healthy Week website (www.DemandHealthyWeek.org) and create, share and log healthy activities – such as preparing a healthy meal, organizing a recurring walk or bike ride with friends and colleagues, or participating in community activities such as a clean-up day or working in a community garden.
