Strawlution Straw sponsors “The Snow Room”

Our dear friend mompreneur Jamie Wallace who is the genius behind the Austin-area based The Strawlution Straw is sponsoring the famous Snow Room, something that every friend who has ever attended has said the children go absolutely hogwild. I am actually really excited as we have always been invited to attend each year but have had schedule conflicts. Well…it’s back! I cannot wait to take my kids, once they get over the viral crud, and Ms. Jamie has been so kind to extend the invitation to family and friends.

Little Austinite readers are definitely virtual friends. You are all invited to attend the famous “Snow Room!”

Ok, some of you have no idea what I’m talking about!

This will be the fourth year I have created a snow room in my house for the kids (and adults!) to play. It started years before when I worked at Dancers Workshop and was sad that the little Texas children didn’t get to play in snow. Every year it has been growing, and this year it’s going to be bigger than ever!!

This year The Straw-lution Straw is sponsoring this ongoing community event. The Snow Room will be open to everyone, everyday from 10 am – 7 pm! We are opening on Friday, December 10, 2010.

Entry is any donation amount of your discretion.

We are accepting donations at The Snow Room to be given to a sweet inspiring little girl named Story Cox (and her amazing and incredibly strong parents). The donations will help Story fight to become cancer free. Story has a very rare form of leukemia and just recently was given a bone marrow transplant from her very brave and loving big sister.
