Picture 17My kids absolutely love Mo Willems.  It started with us checking out Knuffle Bunny and hogging that one copy from the library before we finally bought one.  Then it was onto the Pigeon Series.  Mr. Willems will be at Book People, Thursday February 18, 2010 at 6 pm.

From BookPeople.com:

BookPeople is happy to welcome back one of our favorite picture book authors for our Event of the Month, the incorrigible Mo Willems! He’ll be here for his new books Cat the Cat, Who is That? and Let’s Say Hi to Friends Who Fly! We’ll start the event off whit a puppet show, and then Mo will read his new books, drawing some pictures for the crowd. A portion of the sales from any of Mo’s books tonight will be going to Caritas of Austin, a local non-profit that supports those experiencing poverty. BookPeople insists that you buy either of the new Cat books in order to have anything signed. He will sign an unlimited number of books purchased at the event, and ONE book brought from home. Come dressed in your PJs and enjoy a silly evening with one of the funniest dudes ever to write about pigeons and naked mole rats. Starting this evening at 6PM.
