The asian forest section was my favorite, I love all the wooden decks and the waterfall. I agree - very well maintained and super clean! I was impressed! My family loves this park. We only live about an hour from waco and it is a great thing to do on a saturday morning. My 3yo son loves everything and my favorite exhibit is the nocturnal house and the Orangutans. :) We will be purchasing a membership this year, because it is so worth it. I agree. We went there last week during Thanksgiving break. The kids had a blast and it's not so big that your feet are aching afterward, but it's big enough that you feel you had a real Zoo experience! We do Austin Zoo a lot, because I love that it's a rescue and that we can support them by going. I don't like the San Antonio zoo at all - it's too depressing and still has the whole 'animals in cement pits' thing going on. Cameron Park reminds me of the kickin' NC Zoo in Asheboro, NC - a big, sprawling park with animals. I'm definitely heading to Waco again soon! I love Cameron Park Zoo, and so do my kids.
